The Institute of Directors-Ghana, (IoD-Gh) on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, attended the Annual Policy and Governance Forum of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) at Kempinski Hotel Accra.
The forum, which was themed: “Maximising benefits from state ownership and interests through effective corporate governance” was ably supported by the Ministry of Finance and the Public Services Commission.
Two (2) policy documents were launched during the event, namely, the “Code of Corporate Governance for Specified Entities and Public Service Organisations in Ghana” and the “State Ownership Policy for Specified Entities”.
Guests and representatives from the various entities were taken through brief summaries of the two policy documents.
The policies clearly define government institutions in relation to their ownership portfolio and provide the guiding principles and framework underpinning the management and governance of state interests.
