IoD-Gh Celebrates with selected Faculty Members of The KNUST School of Business

The Institute of Directors-Ghana recently held a grand induction ceremony, welcoming 184 new members, fellows, and associates into its esteemed fold. The event marked a significant milestone, with several distinguished academics among the inductees, highlighting the institute’s commitment to fostering excellence and leadership in various fields.

Among the new inductees were prominent faculty members from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Business School, who have made remarkable contributions to academia and industry:

Prof. Ahmed Agyapong

Ahmed Agyapong is a Professor of Strategic Management at KNUST, Ghana. He is involved in international research projects on logistics and sustainability. His work appears in respected journals, focusing on SME strategy, green supply chain management, and entrepreneurship. Ahmed is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Africa Business and belongs to several academic organizations. He has played critical roles at KNUST, including leading the transition to online teaching during COVID-19. He serves as Dean of KNUST School of Business and has held various other leadership positions at the university.

Prof. Kwame Owusu Kwateng

Prof. Kwame Owusu Kwateng, an Associate Professor in the Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at KNUST Business School, brings over a decade of teaching experience and a robust research portfolio with over 33 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His contributions span information systems, supply chain management, and entrepreneurship. Prof. Kwateng has been recognized with the Emerald Literati Award and actively participates in various academic and industry boards, including the Affordable Sustainability for Logistics Network in Ghana (ASONG) project.

Prof. Hannah Vivian Osei

Prof. Hannah Vivian Osei, an Associate Professor in Human Resource Management at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Business School, has a rich background in organizational development, governance, and employee relations. With a PhD in Business Administration and an MBA from the UK, Prof. Osei is a certified project manager and an expert in labour laws and employee well-being. She coordinates several critical programs at KNUST Business School and is involved in the ERASMUS Plus AMBITION Project, grooming PhD students as green energy ambassadors.

Dr. Richard Owusu-Afriyie

Dr Richard Owusu-Afriyie, Managing Partner of Richard Owusu-Afriyie & Associates, is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with a PhD in Business and Management (Accounting Option) from KNUST Business School. With over 43 years of experience, Dr. Owusu-Afriyie has served in numerous professional, industrial, and educational roles. He is an adjunct lecturer at KNUST Business School and has contributed significantly to various boards and committees, including his role as Audit Committee Chairman at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
