The Institute of Directors-Ghana (IoD-Gh) has reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility by donating essential food items and supplies to the Dzorwulu Special School. The gesture, which took place earlier today, underscores the institute’s ongoing efforts to promote inclusive education and support vulnerable children in Ghana.
The donation, comprising bags of rice, crates of eggs, bottled water, milk, beverages, biscuits, and toiletries, was warmly received by students and staff of the school. The event also featured heartfelt performances by the students, who expressed their gratitude through music and dance.
Rev. (Mrs.) Angela Carmen Appiah, FIoD, President and Chair of the Governing Council of IoD-Gh, emphasized that the initiative aligns with the institute’s 26th-anniversary celebrations, themed around ethical leadership and societal impact.

“True leadership extends beyond boardrooms—it is measured by the positive change we create in our communities,” she stated. “Our partnership with Dzorwulu Special School reflects our core values of compassion, inclusivity, and sustainability. Moving forward, we hope to further support assistive technologies and eco-friendly learning tools to empower these remarkable students.” She also encouraged other corporate entities and IoD-Gh members to adopt a sustained approach to philanthropy, stressing that societal transformation requires consistent effort.
Mr. Frederick Tetteh, Headmaster of Dzorwulu Special School, lauded IoD-Gh for its unwavering support over the years. “Many underestimate the potential of our children, but with the right resources, they excel beyond expectations,” he remarked. “IoD-Gh has been a true ally, helping us nurture these talents. Today’s donation will significantly ease our daily challenges and enhance the learning experience.”

The donation forms part of IoD-Gh’s broader initiatives to mark its Silver Anniversary Celebrations, highlighting the role of ethical leadership in fostering equitable development. The institute remains committed to driving inclusive growth, environmental sustainability, and meaningful community engagement. As the event concluded, the mutual appreciation between the donors and beneficiaries served as a powerful reminder of how collective action can create brighter futures for Ghana’s most vulnerable.
