On Thursday, 13th July, 2023, the Leadership of Equip-Gh paid a courtesy call on the leadership of the Institute of Directors-Ghana.
The team comprised; Sir Eric Nyuma, Africa Regional Director, John Maxwell Enterprise and Mr. Bernard Quarm, Country Representative, Equip-Gh.
The IoD-Gh team was led by Rev. (Mrs.) Angela Carmen Appiah (FIoD), President, accompanied by Mrs. Mary Asare-Yeboah (FIoD), Vice-President, Mr. Seyram Kodzo Mankra (MIoD), Business Development Manager of the IoD-Gh Centre for Corporate Governance Excellence (IoD-Gh CCGE).
According to Mr. Bernard Quarm, they thought it necessary to come and congratulate Rev. (Mrs.) Angela Carmen Appiah (FIoD), on her appointment as President of the Institute of Directors-Ghana, and to wish her well in her new role.
He mentioned that earlier on in the year Rev. (Mrs.) Appiah had been nominated and later appointed as an Exevutive Promoter by EQUIP- Gh.
Discussions at the meeting also included an exploration of opportunities for collaboration between the two organisations, considering the important roles they each play in championing ethical leadership and good governance in Ghana and on the African continent.
Sir. Eric Nyuma indicated that, indeed, Rev. (Mrs.) Angela Carmen Appiah, had impacted on him positively from the very first time he came into contact with her and as such he looks forward to supporting and collaborating with her and the wider IoD-Gh family to achieve great laurels.
On her part, Rev. (Mrs.) Angela Carmen Appiah thanked the team for their thoughtfulness, adding that she would be looking forward to working together with them to change the leadership and governance narrative in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
By way of the next steps , the IoD- Gh President mentioned that Mrs. Mary Asare-Yeboah (FIoD), Vice-President of the Institute, will liaise with the IoD-Gh Secretariat, working through the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Clement Wiredu ( MIoD) to bring agreed plans into fruition.
It was further agreed that the joint team will continue deepening consultations towards harmony for all planned activities.
