Under the auspices of the Institute of Directors-Ghana (IoD-Gh), the National Corporate Governance Code Implementation Committee (NCGCIC) held its first in- person meeting on Tuesday, February 6, 2023 at the premises of the Institute in Accra.
The meeting set out to elect a Chairperson and Secretary to steer the affairs of the thirteen (13) member Committee.
Two members of the Committee who were unable to attend the swearing-in ceremony in September 2023 were sworn in by Rev. (Mrs.) Angela Carmen Appiah, FIoD, the President of the Institute . They were, Ms. Naa Lamle Orleans-Lindsay of the Ghana Investment Promotion Council (GIPC) and Mr. George-Ramsey Benamba of the Ghana News Agency (GNA).
Dr. Edward Akuamoah Boateng of the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) was nominated and unanimously endorsed as the Chairman of the Committee. Mr. Samuel Anobah of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants (CIAMC) was also nominated and unanimously endorsed as the Secretary.
The Committee is tasked with the responsibility to formulate, revise and review the implementation strategy for the National Corporate Governance Code. They are also mandated to lead in the implementation of the code and also monitor, review and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the National Corporate Governance Code.

Mrs. Mary Asare-Yeboah, FIoD, Vice President of the Institute of Directors Ghana, Mr. Seyram Kodzo Mankra, MIoD, Business Development Manager of the IoD-Gh Centre for Corporate Governance Excellence (IoD-Gh CCGE), Mrs. Comfort Ashiagbor of the Ministry of Information, Mrs. Claudia Gyeke-Aboagye of the Volta Riva Authority (VRA), Ms. Catherine Gbikpi Benissan of the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) and Mr. Eric Albert Opoku, MIoD, of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA)
