IMPORTANT NOTICE – CHANGE OF 2021 AGM DATE
Notice is hereby given that in view of the fact that 6th March 2022, Ghana’s Independence Day will fall on Sunday and there is all likelihood that in accordance with section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act, 2001 (Act 601), the President of the Republic of Ghana shall by an Executive Instrument (E.I) declare 7 March 2022 as a holiday and should be observed as such, I am writing to notify you of a change in the date of our 2021 Annual General Meeting (“AGM”).
The Notice dated 10th February 2022 and sent to members together with the Audited Financial Statements called for the AGM to be held on 7th March 2022. This has been rescheduled, and we are now holding our AGM virtually via zoom, at 16.00 GMT on the 8 March 2022.
Members of the Institute are hereby informed to attend the 2021 AGM of the Institute on the change date as follows.

AGENDA
- To receive and adopt the Reports of the Directors, Auditors and the Financial Statements for the year ended 31st December 2021.
- To re-appoint ENGL Chartered Accountants as Independent Auditors of the Institute for the fiscal year 2022.
- To authorize Council to fix the remuneration of the Auditors.

NOTES
1. In compliance with the current restrictions on public gatherings in force pursuant to the imposition of Restrictions Act, 2020 (Act 1012) and consequent Regulatory Directives, attendance and participation by all members and/or their proxies in the 2021 Annual General Meeting of the Institute shall be strictly virtual (i.e. by online participation).
PROXY
2. A member entitled to attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting may appoint a proxy to attend (via online participation) and vote on their behalf. Such a proxy need not be a member of the Institute.
3. For a proxy to be valid for the purpose of this meeting, a proxy form must be completed and sent to the Board Secretary’s email address at boardsecretary@iodghana.org not less than forty-eight (48) hours before the appointed time of the meeting.
4. A Proxy Form will be sent to members with the AGM Notice via email and made available on the institute’s website [Download Proxy Form] and social media handles listed below.

5. The appointment of a proxy will not prevent a member from subsequently attending and voting at the meeting (via online participation). Where a member attends the meeting in person (participates online), the proxy appointment shall be deemed to be revoked.

- Members who do not submit proxy forms to the Institute’s email address at boardsecretary@iodghana.org at least 48hrs prior to the meeting, may vote electronically during the Virtual AGM; using an online voting platform accessible during the AGM.
